In October 2024, the Brentano String Quartet made its successful Pierre Boulez Saal debut with works by Beethoven and Britten. For its follow-up program, the New York–based ensemble has chosen an even wider stylistic range, performing Baroque fantasies by Henry Purcell, repertoire classics by Haydn and Bartók, and American composer Timo Andres’s Machine, Learning, written in 2019.
