Following his celebrated cycle of Beethoven’s complete piano sonatas last season, Fabian Müller returns with an entirely different program. The concert’s first part is dedicated to a selection of György Ligeti’s fascinating Études—which by his own admission the composer wrote to improve his inadequate piano technique. Displaying his full mastery of the instrument, Müller concludes the concert with Chopin’s highly virtuosic B-minor Sonata.
